What does reopening look like for Tacoma restaurants? Frozen cocktails and plastic domes, for starters
acoma bar offers tents to customers who want to keep socially distant
Tucked on the upper hills of downtown, The Camp Bar has been a getaway for South Sound bar-goers since it replaced Acme Tavern in 2018. The whole setting is throwback summer camp from floor to ceiling, with a dive bar feel that screams Tacoma. Now, forced to make changes to stay open safely, the owners have added futuristic domes to their indoor seating that provide a fun and sterile place to enjoy the ambience. Cooking s’mores at your seat inside of the see-through plastic tents will have you feel like you’re camping in a scene from Blade Runner. Come for boozy concoctions, stay for the experience.
The Camp Bar has been chosen as the best Karaoke in Tacoma! Every Friday and Saturday night at 9, come join us and show of your Karaoke skills!

Get cozy with locals at The Camp Bar.

Grab a beanie and aspire to a T-Loc’s level of chill at The Camp Bar, where wilderness-themed digs – think deer mounts and mountainous art – meet dive-y late-night karaoke and pool. Order a draft beer or perhaps the One-Eyed Squirrel, a transparent yet complex mix of sparkling wine, vodka, lime and aloe vera juice (you know, to help that sunburn you got while camping…). Not necessary during your time at the Camp Bar: captivating the room with a Johnny Cash classic. Necessary: indulging in Tableside S’mores, a mini roasting station of graham crackers, chocolate squares and marshmallows to share with your table.
